Partner and stakeholder experience
How Disability and Carers Service will continue to work together with its partners and stakeholders to deliver a fully rounded service and support programme.
Developing more co-ordinated services with Department for Work and Pensions partners
We aim to:
- Improve the operation of the partnership agreements between Jobcentre Plus and The Pension Service so that we serve our shared customers better;
- Provide better support to Department for Work and Pensions partners to help them meet their objectives; and
- Play our part in supporting Jobcentre Plus to deliver welfare reform changes impacting our shared customers.
Developing closer working relationships with voluntary and community organisations
We aim to:
- Ensure Disability and Carers Service products and procedures better meet the needs of our customers; and
- Implement more efficient working practices between voluntary and community organisations and Disability and Carers Service. In addition we will continue our joint initiatives with key organisations.
Developing strategic partnerships with key organisations
We aim to:
- Explore ways of working which allow us to share information and reduce duplication; and
- Identify strategic partners within the Voluntary and Community sector to improve services to our working-age customers.
“I manage a team of visiting officers who go out and check people’s benefits…I know that our officers liaise quite closely with yours…They have a good working relationship and if there is any further information needed they will work together to know what is necessary to get benefits paid…Its very good.”
