Pensions
The Pension Service website provides information and services for everyone, whether they are in the early stages of planning for retirement, about to retire, or already retired.
The site has information on:
- Occupational Pensions if you have a pension from an employer;
- Personal Pensions if you have a personal pension;
- State Pension if you have paid or been credited with National Insurance (NI) contributions and want to know what happens when you reach State Pension age, or if you have reached State Pension age;
- Over 80 Pension if you are aged 80 or over and do not have enough NI contributions to get a full Retirement Pension
- Stakeholder Pensions which are a type of low-charge pension that you can buy from a commercial financial services company, such as a bank, insurance company or building society.
If you are thinking of retiring early, or have given up full-time work before
reaching State Pension age (60 for a woman, 65 for a man) you may be able to
get Jobseeker's
Allowance (this link will take you to the Jobcentre Plus website).
