Site update – September 2007
On 1 April 2007 responsibility for employment programmes delivered by external providers transferred from Jobcentre Plus to Work, Welfare and Equality Group (WWEG) and The Commercial Directorate (previously Commercial and Estates Directorate) within the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
This site has been updated to reflect this change. Information aimed at external providers of employment programmes, including opportunities to tender, can now be found in the Welfare to Work section.
We welcome enquiries related to contracts or procurement, as well as feedback on the changes we have made to this site. We will respond to your e-mails as quickly as possible.
Review of DWP standard Terms and Conditions for service contracts
Over the next two months, DWP will be reviewing the standard Terms and Conditions for its Services contracts. The aim is to produce a single set of terms for DWP, as far as practicable aligning these with OGC Service Terms & Conditions. Revisions are also required to ensure the Terms and Conditions are updated to reflect current DWP policies.
Commonality of terms with the OGC standard will achieve a much closer correlation to those terms now used by other Government departments. This will be a practical step toward simplifying processes for suppliers and DWP.
We welcome your views and if you wish to comment on current DWP Service Terms and Conditions, please contact cppt.commercialpolicyandprocessteam@dwp.gsi.gov.uk by the 8 October 2007.
